A little less action, only a few more cookies and avocado

Friday evening (yes, it is a late-commer), after hubby arrived home, they played A little less action, an Elvis Presley song. I was sprawling on the sofa and hubby had just entered the living-room. As soon as the song started, hubby started dancing in front of me. I thought it was just a show he made for me, but no, I was cordially invited to dance with hubby. Well, I tried hard. Somehow I felt less agile around the hips, but I could move around without problems. Hubby is a wonderful dancer and I love watching him. According to his facial expression, hubby also had fun watching me. I do move more like a rock,  and definitely without the roll. But it was funny and we enjoyed it so much. It was just the right thing to do after a busy week.

Talking about less action. I am still doing my exercises and love them. But I think I'll skip the half-marathon next month :). The major change this week is that I am huffing and puffing quicker and more than before. My jogging through the woods activity with hubby or friends has turned into walks only, but instead I do more swimming. And enjoy it more than ever. Yeah, walrus, whale, whatever.
Lol, I think this is the first time ever that I actually enjoy feeling like a clumsy, fat and ever-eating cookie-monster.

Avocado - my friend

And talking about being hungry, baby is around the size of an avocado by now. Don't get any wrong idea, but this reminds me that avocados are very healthy and they do a good job in satisfying this craving for food. I mashed them and put them on a piece of bread. I also used the mashed avocado to stick carrots in. Yummy. The good news about this is that you'll probably feel stuffed for a long time, because avocados have a lot of fibre and also oleic acid, and that activates the part of the brain that tells you that you are full and better stop eating.

Avocado fun-section:

A wife asks her husband, “Could you please go shopping for me and buy one carton of milk, and if they have avocados, get 6.”
A short time later the husband comes back with 6 cartons of milk.
The wife asks him, “Why did you buy 6 cartons of milk?”
He replies, “They had avocados.”

  2. Roz, I love swimming, and currently more than ever, it feels better than jogging, which I usually love too. But jogging has already become a little awkward, walking is nice, though I always feel I haven't really done much afterwards. Currently I am down to the recommended 300 calories extra, and eat healthy, most times, because if I don't, I have constipation problems. :( So, I am doomed to live healthy... :)

    hugs
