Wait, the best is yet to come. I have eaten more lately again and thought I'd be in for a real shock that would probably start labour, ... but .... tata.... I have actually lost weight again. Only roundabout 600 grammes, but suddenly I feel so thin again. :-D
My first question was, if everything was ok with baby, but my doc told me that it is pretty normal and often happens towards the end of pregnancy. Nothing to worry at this late stage.
Hear me? Towards the end of pregnancy!! Baby?!
Still waiting.
The good news is that according to my doc, I should go into labor soon, it could start any moment. I am not dilated yet, but it seems that my cervix is more than ready, soft and in position. I wanted to know what 'soon' actually means, but she said that things could change quickly ... or not.
Don't be worried about my mental state, by the way. I have given up being normal long ago (very liberating) and currently I have also reached a new all time high at being a fuzz brain. Obviously, I have thrown away some freshly sun dried laundry. Into the dustbin. Hubby found it yesterday and I only recollect that I had folded it in the garden, as we had great weather, and I also remember that I enjoyed the thought of not having to do any kind of laundry at the weekend. This really was satisfying for me, it felt as if all was finished for the moment! I was absolutely convinced that it was all in the wardrobe, not in the bin.
Hm, is this considered child-labour?

I think they seriously sell this onesie somewhere. Funny idea, but my mom told me that I put everything in my mouth for at least the first 18 months, and I know I wouldn't want baby chewing on dusty fringes more than she will do anyway, without giving her that onesie.
I will be so obedient!
Everybody, have a great start into your week.
LOL Nina. My sister once told me, " you lose half your brain when you become pregnant, and deliver the other half". Funny if it wasn't true! Fear not it returns~ eventually....mostly.
ReplyDeleteAs Always, Good Luck!
willie
Hi Willie, I have had fits of massive forgetfulness for months and thought it could impossibly be worse. But I was wrong there. Anyways, maybe I am mentally challenged at the moment, but happy with it! :) Don't know if I should worry about the 'eventually ... mostly'?

Nina,
ReplyDeleteTori is about 20 weeks, and we found out this morning we're having another boy! I'm sure you'll be fine - just remember it's impossible for your oven to be on till the end of time ;-) ;my wife always gets ancy towards the end so I'm sure at least SHE knows how you feel.
Foothills, so you wanted to know early? That you will have a lovely baby boy is marvelous. I am still completely in the dark, but absolutely convinced that we will have a girl. Don’t know why, though. … Antsy surely means that Tori becomes more exciting every day, doesn’t it? :-D But seriously, I fully get you and think that I have had a few of these antsy fits too.
DeleteI know from your last entry that you don’t have that much time to write because of Tori’s pregnancy, so thank you for commenting. It’s great to have such lovely news, and congratulations once again!

Ah, mummy brain... the lost of all mental ability. It does come back, but I hang on to it as an excuse with my kids, comes in handy some times :)

DF
Hi DF, I think I have been a serious case of mummy brain for ages. In a way, it makes life far easier; perfect excuse! I will stick to it for the next 18 years.

Roz
Hi Roz, this is Tuesday evening, so our due date is only hours away now. I still feel no different, just heavy. In summer these fits of forgetfulness were pretty annoying (and embarrassing), but I have left that stage behind me and forget to be annoyed about it. Right now, I am only listening in me, waiting for some contractions to start. LoL, I am really waiting for the pain to start and would welcome it. So much about my mental abilities!

Awww, your baby wants me to win the bet! Only about a day and a half to go (my time anyway) until October 2nd :)
ReplyDeleteHi River, :-D nothing has happened here yet, I am still waiting. Today is the day, but that does not mean too much, I guess. Maybe you win, because up to now (middle of the day) all is as usual, or Roz wins with the 5th, my bet is 3rd October. I can't remember if I ever won anything before, but whoever wins the birthday bet, we will be winners, too. :-)
