12 bums in the kitchen

This time at the start of this entry:
Time for my weekly countdown again ! Woohoo, week 33 :D

By now I am able to identify baby's head, feet and elbows when she pushes, kicks and moves. At least I think they are elbows. If not, she is kicking with her knees into me. :) Unless she hits a bad spot, I enjoy her moves endlessly. On the sofa. With cookies. :) There is nothing better than that. Oh, wait, there is something better: the same things, in the hammock. Swinging lightly. I don't know if she becomes dizzy from it, but she doesn't move when I swing lightly in my hammock. Does that mean baby won't be a sailor later on? Well, but I hope she'll enjoy water and swimming.

The bum-affair
Today I couldn't visit my magic hammock, because of the weather and because my three little nieces have been brought. They are absolute lovelies and we had a lot of fun this morning. As part of preparing lunch, we produced muffins with bacon, ham, onions, garlic and cheese. I can only have those with cheese, anything else would create problems. But warm spicy muffins with veggies are not a problem, instead they are yummy, great and easy to do with kids.

... Of course,  you knew that, but I mention this because of the muffins and the baking moulds they were in. We have a dozen of cupcake moulds here that have the shape of a pair of jeans. Well, they are more like the bum in a pair of jeans. Imagine what my girls do when we use these. :D They are still young enough not to say the worst things, but they enjoy baking with these bum-shaped moulds endlessly, because you can say many ambiguous or almost inappropriate things. Oh, and they do, naturally.

My job, when baking with these baking moulds and with these kids (as with any kid from 4 to 99), is more like preventing the most inappropriate words, but since none of them are teenagers yet, there is no reason to worry. Besides, they all had acquired a considerable vocabulary of swear words at the end of their nursery school career. They knew more such words than I did! So, you'll always hear lots of 'wanna eat my bum', 'I want to bite into that bum' and things like that in our kitchen when we use these moulds. And as their aunt, it is my duty to let them have some extra-fun. If anybody, I usually get scolded by my sister, because I let them use expressions for our posterior which are maybe not suitable for tea with the Queen. No real swear words, though and I surely do not comment on the unintended juicy creations that can be heard sometimes! Well, one swear word slipped through, but was only used once - by each girl.

Sorry that I couldn't produce pictures with the bum moulds filled. They were delicious and everybody was stuffed after lunch. No left-overs! :)

The bum is a huge ... topic at times. Only yesterday I read about something food and bum related in Hermione's blog.

  2. Hahaha - I love those! I've not seen anything like them - definitely unique! Wow - you're 33 weeks! You sound like you're doing really great and that is pure awesomeness. Sorry I have not been around. I'm trying to play some catch up. It will probably take me awhile!

    1. Hi Rose, glad you are back. LoL, the moulds are really great, and you can literally undress the muffins. :D Yeah, all in all I think I am fine. But since we have made it this far, we can only be grateful and positive about it. And my whining in the entries is hopefully not always excessive. Don't worry about catching up, I am just happy to have news from you and hope you are better again, too.

      hugs
