Exciting everyday life, spanking, a cold and a friend -edition

This week has been completely crazy. Some because of appointments, most at the doctor’s, and yes, I am / have been / will be forever (you choose) hormonal, full of ups and downs. I am afraid hubby had to deal with some of the downs too. And we did it again, spanking, I mean. I asked for it, literally, not in a metaphorical way.
Since I asked hubby, there was much more talking, and this time it did not leave me with any negativity at all. On the contrary, I have felt elated from it, we have come so much closer and are in tune. I went into the situation slightly tense because I was not sure if I’d have another negative moment, and this could have happened - but did not.
Hubby allowed me to adjust by building up the force of the spanking gradually and I got a complete release. My tummy tickled wonderfully from the inside, it felt so good there and in another spot. Not my bum, that was sore, but I loved that it was pretty warm there.

It was not made for pleasure, but it felt this way for me, because I could embrace this spanking so much. The spanking was only for half an hour, which is not a lot when you start really slowly and add more over time, change to different implements, anyways,  it was awesome … and afterwards I was as tired and sleepy as if I had been awake for 24 hours.

Since Tuesday our little one had drunk less milk, but nevertheless she wanted to latch on and needed a lot of snuggling and cuddling. Then, from Thursday till now, Tilda started sleeping much more fitfully. At first I didn't know why, … I am a first-timer at this, but we learned from the doctor that she has caught a light cold, and today she is considerably more agreeable than yesterday again.

We went to her baby class nevertheless, because this is quality time for both of us. And even though we knew that there was nothing too serious going on with her, neither hubby nor I did really sleep much Monday night, simply because we worried. … Well, hubby slept much more and better since Tuesday, once the doctor had told us it was ‘only’ a light cold and she’d be fine again in no time.

I, on the other hand, will try to catch up on sleep tonight. I mean, e v e r y sound Tilda made worked like an alarm for me. I was alarmed when she did not make any noise and I was alarmed when she made the stranger sort of sounds which she made plenty of with her nose.

When you have used this, or a similar device, you are awesome !

Apart from that, there was one single phone call which I had not expected at all. A friend of mine from pre-hubby times called. Hubby knows her by now, although he has always been slightly wary and critical about her, because she played a role in my not so awesome time of life. But since she was not directly involved in anything negative, he allows this contact.

Oh my, I make this sound like a big secret, but there is nothing bad at all (apart from hubby’s wariness). She is awesome and helped me, and we had a rather intense though short time. I admire her a lot for different traits and for who she is, and since I have not published anything connected to my ‘I quit’-entries for ages, I am tempted to write about her. We’ll see.

... The entry that I originally wanted to publish (about sex) is still there, but I did not push the button, and now it has been replaced by this entry. I’ll try to publish the sexy one soon. :)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Glad you got the spanking you needed. It's lovely when you have that release and not having to rush a spanking, which seems to be common with us.
Colds - there are going to be many, they'll blur into each other and some will be worse than others. Nose drops help with the feeding, so do bricks at one end of the cot to lift the head. Unfortunately, they often disrupt sleep more than hunger and I think most parents will tell you they are the main cause of bad nights. However, mine rarely catch colds now, their immune systems boosted by all those early ones.

    1. Hi DF, this spanking was awesome, it had all the positive bits that the last one did not have. I was so glad that we did have a lot of time for us. Tilda was next door, so we could always hear what was going on, but she had a nap and we used this moment to the best.
Eeww colds that blur into each other ... this alone sounds no fun. I did not sleep much because of this cold, so I'll brace myself for more. I'll try to see the positive side of it, when Tilda is older she will be virus proof. :) (if only)
This time we only need nose drops, and they are really only salt water, I think, and it works. But after this week I am already willing to do all it takes to get rid of any virus, for sleep's sake. :)
Hope you are having a good weekend and time to connect well,

      hugs

  2. Hi Nina, oh poor Tilda, littlies do get so many things. they seemed to go in phases from what I remember. I always hated being so helpless, my youngest had asthma so colds were always a bit of a big deal. As a first time mum it is all a bit of a panic too so you have my sympathy. Glad this spanking was a success (only in this lifestyle would that be a good sentence, lol), lots of love Jan,xx

    1. Hi Jan, you are so right about being helpless when the little one suffers. I can only try to make her comfy and make breathing easy. She needs lots of snuggling and cuddling at the moment, and I am so happy that Tilda is getting much better again. I can imagine just how hard this must have been for you, asthma itself can be so bad, but add a cold and it must be horrible. I am so glad that your youngest one is grown up, asthma is easier to manage for adults, I think.

Uhm, yes about the panic bit. But hubby had a bad night when Tilda couldn’t sleep well, too, so I definitely do not feel alone with that here. :)
LoL, thank you, yes the spanking was a real success. We are so close, I felt wonderful, like a burden was taken away and I loved it. I cannot even describe properly how good I felt from it. :)

      hugs and love

  3. Hey Nina...so happy you got what you wanted and needed. Babies getting sick is nerve wracking...even when it is considered 'mild'...would much rather be sick myself rather than have one of my babies (even though they're grown) or grandbabies sick. Hang in there new mamma...as Tilda gets older and you meet each challenge with her, you will relax. Sending lots of healing energy for your little girl.

    Hugs and Blessings...

    1. Hi Cat, oh yes, I got something really wonderful. And yes, nerve wrecking fits completely, I think by Friday morning I had no nerves left, but this weekend has made life much easier again. Tilda is getting much better. And yes (again:) ) I’d rather have the cold myself than let Tilda suffer. I hope so much that I do relax more in those situations, and from all more experienced mothers I have heard that this will happen, and I do believe that gladly! Thank you for sending healing energy, Tilda and I appreciate this a lot!

      hugs

  4. Hi Nina, sorry to hear Tilda has been under the weather and glad it is a mild cold. It is worrying when the little ones are sick, no matter how mild.

So glad you got the spanking and release you needed. It's amazing how a spanking can centre you :)

    1. Hi Roz, Tilda has a mild cold and is getting better again. For me it felt like a flu or worse, because she did not sleep well and wouldn’t drink properly. :( Yes, we worried so much and for the more experienced moms this is no big deal, but I still have to learn that. :)
You are so right about the spanking. Centred is a very good way of describing what it did to me. It was marvelous and I am so glad that we have this.

      hugs
