I got an email from Blogger, probably many here got that. They say they won't allow nude images, unless they are artistic, educational etc....
My idea was that this mail was sent to all who have ticked adult content in the settings.
In general I am sure I don't have pictures about nudity in my blog, but I have a handful of those which I thought nice and maybe a little juicy, like this one.
I mean you cannot see any private parts, can you? And I don't believe I have any of that in my blog. Well, I have a few spanking pictures where the bum is on display.
Could this be too naughty for them? There are no private parts visible, only a red bum.
So, my question is, could it be a problem that I have Santa spanking a naughty lady or something like this? Maybe someone knows what Blogger means with nudity. If that means stark naked, then fine, I don't think I have that, but if it includes a girl wearing a thong, shoes and a bikini top, hmm, I have one or two of them somewhere in my blog.
Anyways, sorry for this boring stuff and maybe someone knows better than I do what this is about.
I hope you are having a wonderful week :)
Hey Nina...I wish I could help you but I turned off the adult content setting since blogger seems to be getting a bit weird about it and none of my friends could view my blog from work or hospitals. I just put an adult warning on the top of my blog. You might just try that. You might want to reach out to Hermione...she's very sharp and has been able to help quite a few others regarding blogger.

Hi Cat, I had the adult content setting off when I started the blog, but since some of my entries are absolutely not meant for minors I switched it on. Asking Hermione is a great idea and I will do that, maybe she knows whether the (I’d say) pretty harmless pictures of a naked bum could cause trouble. Thank you ! :)

loads of bloggers are receiving this email. it is a blanket email to anyone with the adult flag. nobody really understands what they mean by explicit or graphc means, but I suspect they will target hardporn images, not our odd images of naked butts. if it comes to it I'll remove the odd photo.
ReplyDeleteHi DF, ah this makes sense to me. I can understand that they don’t want hardporn images in the blogs. And I’d also change any image that might be offensive, if that solves any problem.

Hi Nina, I received the email too and am thinking along the same lines as DF, that they are targeting more hard core images. Problem is of course, we don't know what fits into their definition.

Roz
Hi Roz, yes, I think that you are right and hardcore pictures are the target of this. Well, and I hope so, too, because there is nothing hardcore in my blog I’d say.

Really can't help. As Roz said, we don't know what fits into their definition.

Hi Ronnie, yes, I agree with you, and as long as it is only about a few pictures I don’t think I have a problem with changing that, if necessary.

Hi Nina, I was going to say ask Cat, I have no idea what, I haven't had an email though

Hi Jan, Cat had the idea to ask Hermione, so I think I’ll do that. :)

I agree with you about the disclaimer, because I didn't receive a notice this time either. Just take down the disclaimer and make up your own on your page.
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny, good idea to write my own disclaimer. I just did that and will see what happens. :)
